Poured into a chalice: color is gold/copper with floating sediment, head is off white/very light tan with fine to small bubbles head presents 2+ fingers thick, head lingers with solid top about 1/4 inch thick, some lacing.
Aroma has an off note upfront, hard to pin point, but overtaken by the base beer notes - moderate malt, light caramel, toast, hops are earth, citrus, very light pine.
Taste has similar off note thats hard to identify but just a different aroma - then back to base beer of pale malt, caramel, toast, earthy and neutral citrus hops, some light pine.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate/stronger bitterness as it warms; sweetness does start to overtake.
Overall a beer probably past prime but yet stands out from the stock of newish IPAs in that its more class malt and hop blend vs haze/oat/muddled tropical.
