Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is straw gold, nearly transparent, good efferevescne, head is off white with fine to small bubbles, good lacing and lingering presence on the glass sides.
Smell is subdued, some feint sweetness and light tropical fruit with some melon like component.
Taste follows with similar notes with a bit more presence - light sweetness, tropical fruit with some pineapple, mango like notes, fairly notable bitterness.
Mouthfeel is moderate, carbonation is notable with bitterness lingering a hint of sweetness.
Overall a decent brew, but i think there is just something about mosaic hops that might not work at this level.

Poured from the tap into a tulip glass. The appearance is a clear straw color with a small white head. The aroma is mild hops and fruit. The taste follows the nose.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Nearly clear golden pour with small particles of sediment. 2 fingers of white head... solid lacing.
S: Tropical fruit and citrus... semi juicy.
T/F: Light toasted malt backbone... semi-sweet which kicks into the juicy hops. Pineapple, mango, and papaya. Light citrus but mostly tropicals. Not a juice bomb... bitterness definitely present to balance the juicy sweetness. Relatively light bodied.... tropical hop finish.
O: An above average IPA. A bit high on the ABV to be sessionable but worth trying. Definitely glad I chucked into a mix'a'6.

Evil Genius Beer Co. "Pics Or It Didn't Happen"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "BTLON:0111818 03:50 PM"
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It pours a hazy yellow-gold body beneath a full head of fluffy bright white foam. The aroma is tropical-fruity with lots of pineapple. There's so much in fact that I can hardly smell anything else, although I did get some blueberry right off the bat. Maybe some mango and melon. Let's see if the flavor is just as pineapple laden... no, it's there but there's a lot of other tropical fruit there as well (mango, papaya, melon, orange, guava, apple). A sweetish golden malt base supports and livens the fruitiness, and a firm bitterness balances it and lingers in the dry finish once the fruity hops have faded. It's impressive. The body is medium and the carbonation is gently crisp. What's the strength on this? 7%? It's not even noticeable.
