Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a hazy beige color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, grains. Taste is malts, minty, some pine, mild to moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it's decent but is nothing special.

It has been a while since I have attended GABF, but at one of the last ones that I made, there was a forum on trademark laws and a then-recent spate of intra-industry lawsuits. The speaker remarked that he was concerned that the industry was running out of names. I thought, "No, jagov, yer a buncha engineers. Yer running out of creativity. Hire some English majors!" Well, Evil Genius BC may or may not have hired English majors, but they definitely have a handle on Pop! Culture! #HeeHee
From the Bottle: "India Pale Ale hopped with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Warrior".
I was curious as to how this menage a trois de hops was going to play out, so I Pop!ped the cap. I gave it a slow, gentle, C-Line pour which created just under two fingers of foamy, roacky, bone-white head with moderate retention. It left some nice lacing in its wake. Color was a pretty Golden-Amber & I got a visit from The Gelt Gang of Mammon, Midas & Croesus as a result. The nose made me smile! It seems that Simcoe the kitty has gotten into the blueberries before doing her kitty business! It was both catty and blueberry-like & I liked it! Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but lacking depth in my mouth. The taste was prevalent with blueberry muffins, but there was a peeking cattiness also in the mix. I was not enamored of its lack of inherent bitterness, which is a hallmark of the style. Still, it tasted pleasant enough to keep me happy. Finish was semi-dry & more blueberry than catty, but I was left feeling like an itch had not been scratched. YMMV.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pour with 1.5 fingers of fizzy white head. Nice lacing.
S: Grainy and lemon/citrus. Mild pine.
T/F: Bready malts... somewhat sweet with a gentle lemon/citrus hop profile. Milder herbal/floral notes and pine. Light bodied... modest bitterness. Soft and buttery mouthfeel with gentle carbonation.
O: A decent enough IPA... easy drinking. Nothing all that special, but then again I've never been a big fan of the Evil Genius lineup.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is light straw, slightly opaque, head is off white with fine bubbles, head presents about 1.5 inches deep then dissipates to a 1/4 inch top with good lacing on the glass.
Smell is very lightly herbal, earthy hops with a touch of citrus and floral notes. Not much malt.
Taste is similar with hop forward flavors of earthy, citrus, light mint and pine. Light toast and hint of ester.
Mouthfeel is low to moderate carbonation, light soft malt and then lightly drying.
Overall a fairly clean, moderately hopped IPA.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.
L---Slightly hazy. Rich golden color. Middling head with no retention. Left ok lacing.
S---Hoppy & fruity. Smell is fairly weak, but there's some orange in there.
T---Taste is stronger than the smell. Grapefruit & orange. Hops & malts are very balanced. No bite from hops.
F---Fairly light feel. Low to medium carbonation. An easy drinker.
O---Underwhelming. It's drinkable, but not something I would look for again.

L - 2-finger fluffy white head atop a transparent yellow body.
S - herb, grapefruit, floral.
T - dank, floral orange hop juice. Yeasty, bready middle. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. No booziness.
F - medium body with high carb.
O - a typical Evil Genius ipa. Passable, but not enough hop concentration to really pop.
