Evil Genius Beer Co. "Brr! It’s Cold In Here"
12 fl. oz. can coded "2023331 13:22PM". Sampled on 16 May 2024.
$2.99 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: I have to admit that I've never really understood the draw of the cold IPA, BUT this one at least has Mosaic and Citra hops. It's poured a hazy golden body beneath two finger widths of white foam. Seeing as how it's a cold IPA I'd expect it to be clear like a standard lager but whatever. The aroma is sweetish with a delicate fruitiness and some herbal and resinous character. The taste follows and while there is some Citra and Mosaic character to it it's pretty limited. What did I see on the label? Ahh, here it is: "...we like our IPAs with a lot of hop flavor". That's curious. It's a decent lager, but I wouldn't call it an IPA. I'm not even going to finish this, I'm just gonna leave it at that. I said what I said, Imma Head Out, #Sorry #Not Sorry.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
