…and we may never, never come home. We got a little psychedelic with this one mixing a Belgian Wit and an IPA. What you get are notes of citrus and fruit with a mild hop finish.

1L growler dispensed into my Westvleteren chalice.
A - A half-finger of white foam settles to a wispy, partial cap, with a thick collar and specks of lace. Transparent dark golden body; definitely more IPA than witbier here.
S - A mix of fruity hops and peppery Belgian yeast, supported by wheat and and perhaps a touch of citrus peel. More on the Belgian side of things, although that's not overly surprising as DryHop's hoppy brews are already fairly balanced.
T - The taste is actually a bit hoppier, with a nice mix of citrus peel hops and perhaps actual citrus peel. Reminds me more of a hoppy American wheat, as the Belgian yeast has receded into the periphery. Some bitterness in the finish, but not as heavy-handed as other Belgian IPAs I've had, although it creeps up over time.
M - Medium body, with pleasant, active carbonation that's a bit higher than the norm for DryHop. No obvious alcohol, slightly juicy texture, with a bit of grain to it. Dry and crisp finish, with some lingering hop oils.
D - Not as good as DryHop's other Belgian IPA, but delivers as promised. I'm not convinced by this 'White IPA' trend, but this beer successfully integrates style elements of both in a harmonious manner. Not something I'd order often, but easy to drink.
