Spiced with allspice, clove, raspberry puree, ginger & orange peel. This malty English winter warmer is liquid fruitcake in your glass. A few pints will keep you warm for your sleigh ride home on these chilly Chicago nights.

On tap at the brewery, quick review from written notes.
Dark reddish brown in the glass with good clarity, spotty wispy lace around the edges
Nondescript aroma is mainly yeasty, hard to pull out much else, which is odd considering all the added spices and raspberry puree.
Light spice flavors of nutmeg and clove, raspberry is noticeable and lends a pleasant taste of real fruit to the mix. Medium body, lightly astringent though it's not distracting. Overall this was pretty good, the raspberry adds a nice twist, though i'd like more aromatics.
