Fall is in the air and the holidays are around the corner at DHB. This brown ale was brewed with cinnamon, mace, cara brown malt (raisins), and vanilla to create an oatmeal cookie in a glass.

Had on draft. It pours a clear, light brown, dirty amber color with a very thin white head that disappears into the beer immediately.
The nose is a little sweet, brown sugar, dark fruit, faint vanilla, some spice. Definitely a baked good like smell. The flavor is less desirable. It is sweet, but thin. A little vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a little licorice/anise flavoring. It is a bit thin and watery, which I don't love. Overall, this was a miss for me.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
