A Summer beer worth the fuss, the Cologne staple hits DHB. Unfiltered and straw colored with just enough hops to know they are there.

1L swing-top growler filled on Friday afternoon, consumed Sunday evening. Served in a weizen glass.
A - A generous amount of white foam settles to a thick, solid cap, thicker collar, and splotchy lacework. Hazed pale peach body. I know all of DryHop's beers are unfiltered, but I expect clarity from my Kölsch.
S - Aroma is quite nice, with honey, cereal grains, a hint of floral hops, and a light mustiness to it. Not overly vinous like some examples of the style, but perhaps a tiny bit fruity.
T - The taste features more assertive hop bitterness and a light herbal note. There's some honey and cereal sweetness, and a mildly yeast note, but this seems aggressively bitter to me; more so than I like from this style.
M - Medium-low, growler-style carbonation, quite soft and lightly creamy. Medium-light in body and quite refreshing.
D - If the bitterness could be dialed down by about a third this would be a killer summer beer. Even with the bitterness, I still had very little problem finishing the growler by myself. Hopefully they'll get a second crack at this recipe before the end of the summer.
