Get down with the Devil. Falconer’s Flight, Chinook & Cascade hops help make this Belgo IPA shine. Strong notes of citrus dominate in both the nose & flavor. Perfect with METAL!

1L growler from DryHop. Shared with Mike while watching UFC. Served in a Captain Lawrence tulip.
A - White foam settles to a thick collar, wisps on top, and small specks of lace. Lightly hazed dark apricot-bronze body.
S - Fruity hops and spicy Belgian yeast, with some notes of pine and citrus zest in the periphery. Lightly phenolic, with some peppery notes as well. There might be a hint of alcohol present, although it may just be the piney character of the Chinook hops confusing my senses.
T - Taste is more Belgian pale and less IPA. Fruity esterys, pale malt sweetness, lightly peppery Belgian yeast, and some mild but present piney bitterness in the finish. No discernible alcohol here.
M - Smooth, medium body, with a slightly grain to the texture. Lower carbonation, but sufficient for the style. Again, no alcohol here so perhaps it was the piney hops confusing me earlier.
D - For the style this is quite good, although I'm not a fan of Belgian IPAs on the whole. Had no problem polishing off the growler with a friend, and I might order a smaller pour of this if a fresh batch popped up. Appreciate the restrained bitterness, but would would have liked a bit more hop aroma.
