You wanted the best, you got the best…DHB’s first big ‘un! The culmination of our APA series. Full of citrus and pine and all the cool kid hops are in the pool. Turn this one up to 11 and rip the knob off.

1L growler shared with Chris (spycow). Served in a Firestone Walker tulip.
A - White foam settles to a thin cap, collar, and splotchy lacework. Largely transparent amber body.
S - Nice juicy citrus, think it's the Mosaic hops at work with perhaps some Centennial rounding things out? Very hop-forward in any case, with some supporting tropical flavors. Malt backbone is sweet, but not overly so, imparting an icing sugar kind of character.
T - Taste is similarly hoppy, with a tad more earthiness amid the juicy citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Again, restrained but present malt sweetness in the nebulous sugary realm. Mild bitterness balances the sweeter flavors sufficiently.
M - Medium body, chewy texture, with a dry finish and some lingering oils on the palate. No perceptible alcohol; glad to see this as I know how much pressure is on DryHop to get beers out quickly.
D - Quite enjoyable; an impressive first crack at a higher-ABV brew that successfully marries flavors from the various pale ales they've made. Hope this gets added to the regular rotation, as I like this sort of IPA+/lower ABV DIPA.
