Mad River Milk Stout

Enjoyed from a growler via Jungle Jim's. This stout pours a murky blackish brown with a medium tan head of foam that dissipates to a thin ring and light lacing. Nose of lactose, light char, light coffee, and moderate dark chocolate notes. Flavors of sweet dark chocolate and light notes of dark coffee dance about a mild lactose profile. Dark malts coalesce on the aftertaste with a subtle char and light smoke flavor. Smooth and creamy mouth feel. Lightly bitter malt aftertaste. Awesome. A fantastic milk stout of exceptional balance.
