From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This evidently
re-occurring brew pours a very nice deep golden color with a nice head of white
foam that settles to a thick ring, subtle light film, and shows nice moderate
lacing. Nose of apples ,candy malts, and herbal notes that mingle with
grape notes. Flavors surpass the nose with white grape and green apple
notes over a bed of candy sugar and strong herbal notes and light breaded
notes vying for dominance over the phenol alcohol notes. Decent mouth feel;
medium light body, medium light carbonation, and a sweet herbal
finish that is hard to put ones finger on. It is good, but somewhat
muddled.
Overall ,a nice little BSPA from a solid brewery that has upped it's
game every year since their inception.
Cheers
