22oz bottle, no date. Served in a Libby globe porter glass.
Appearance: Clear dark amber. Initial white head upon pouring died back to nothing.
Smell: Light wood smoke with a bit of bacon.
Taste: Smokiness up front, then a nice transition to a solid Vienna lager with toasted malt sweetness, then a finish which is again smoky and just the right level of meatiness.
Mouthfeel: Fizzy carbonation, but good thickness to the beer. Crisp dry finish.
Overall / Drinkability: Very nice - hits the style of a Bamberg smoked (Rauchbier) beer very well. Very drinkable as well.
