Served from a Growler filled at the Dayton Beer Company. Served in a shaker pint glass:
Appearance: Clear/bright pale golden yellow. Thin white head that died back to a thin ring at the edges. Some very fine islands and strands of persistent lacing.
Smell: Lemony with just a bit of underlying clean malt.
Taste: Lemon again, with some cracker like malt and just a bit of pilsner like character, but just a bit. Finish is clean like a lager.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation – maybe a little on the light side. Dry finish. A bit watery, but it is a lower ABV and a light beer, so good for the style.
Overall / Drinkability: For a light-style beer, it’s far more flavorful than I expected. The aroma really kind of works with this one. I think this would go really well with food so I’ll have to get it again sometime. Not an amazing beer, but pretty good for a light lager.
