A beer with only moderate alcohol but full of character. Vienna malt adds a toasty maltiness while wheat creates a crisp drinkability. Comet hops bring a funky and wild hop note. Belgian saison yeast is excitingly spicy and fruity. Low alcohol, high flavour.

L- Pours a hazy pale yellow topped by a 1/2 finger white head. Half-decent retention and a little bit of lacing.

S- Lemon, apple, light grain, floral hops. This brew smells incredibly refreshing.

T- Identical to the nose with a slight bit of funk/sourness on the finish. Great stuff.

F- Medium body and low carbonation. Previously, I would not have figured that this combination would work in a lighter beer (like a saison) but it seems to work extremely well here. Extremely sessionable stuff.

O- Extremely glad to see a another local brewery do such a fantastic saison. Buy it, try it, love it.

From the Gold Medal 4-Pack. Pours to give a pale yellow, cloudy body with lots of creamy head that dissipates after a minute or so. The aroma is pleasantly sweet, showcasing floral and light fruit notes such as peach and apple, along with just a bit of that Belgian yeast funkiness. As to the taste, it begins at the front of the tongue with rosewater and a delicate honey-like sweetness, transforming into slight tartness by the middle of the tongue and a fairly mute, bitter finish. I do find the carbonation a little forced on this, and as well, although I do appreciate a sessionable Saison, I really think that lightening the beer this much takes away from some of the more complex flavours found in stronger Saisons. Overall not bad, but not a buy again beer.

Out of the can, poured a medium yellow, cloudy, with a persistent white head. I got citrus notes of lemon (and possibly lime?), with some soapy, floral rose aromas. Crisp and refreshing with a dry finish. Light for a saison at 3.5%, making it very sessionable. I think it would do great with some spicy/aromatic thai food.
