A smooth, strong imperial stout with roast, caramel and dark chocolate flavors atop a soft flaked-oat body. This brand-new brew is a little bit Eugene, a little bit Alderaan and completely delicious.

What a wonderful beer, tons of flavors and aromas of molasses, leather, dried currants, and a bit of anise like bite. Super easy to drink.
Deep brown beer capped with a heap of mocha head.
Big aromas of roasted malt and molasses. Some other dark subtleties like leather and dried currant. Very nice.
Taste follows with a molasses and char note leading the way. Strong bitter note of fresh leather, some currant or sour prune, and a bit of anise. Dark cherries and plum start to show a bit as it warms.
Mouthfeel is deceptively light. Drinks like a much lighter brew, far to easy to drink.

Really great oatmeal stout here! Perfectly balanced roasted grains and milk chocolate sweetness with a hint of oats. Silky body and has no booze presence. Supposedly this oatmeal stout is what goes into barrels to make Deth's Tar. I would say that is probably accurate.

Pours a deep dark shiny black color. A bit on the oily side in appearance die to that thick viscous look when it pours. Thin tan sudsy head dissipates leaving no residual head.
Aroma as notes of roasted, almost charred malts, light cocoa notes and oats with some light earthy hop notes on the back end.
Taste follows the nose with those roasts malts taking on a more charred quality. You get that toasty bitterness up front with some smooth rich malts, oats, and bakers chocolate. There is a moderate sweetness to the beer that is really interesting. The feel is medium bodied, incredibly smooth and silky with a drier finish. Mild to moderate carbonation.
Overall this is a killer stout - and its just an old school stout with nothing added in which is just delightful.
