A shining champion arrives with a bright spectrum of complementary hops, guided by the dank, resinous Apollo. Complex hop expression lands in a soft, smooth body and finishes with a refreshing bite.

APPEARANCE: Semi-hazy golden amber, with a decent off-white head and minor lace.

NOSE: Crisp pine and citrus hops. Some tropical notes in there, too.

TASTE: Thick, tropical hop resins coat the palate. Drinks like a bigger IPA than 7.3%. Superlative brew.

12 oz. can, canned APR 21, 2022, five month old IPA generally not being my thing, but I acquired the mixed 12 pack from the local grocery. The Medusa Hero held up well, so I've got decent enough expectations here.

Poured to a Camp Crystal Lake stemless tumbler glass.

A - Pours hazy juicy orange body, just a tad lighter in color than "burnt" orange; probably a shade or two darker than the Medusa Hero that I enjoyed previous to this. Finger or so of white frothy head. Decent lacing. Looks appealing.

S - Aroma is probably a touch more caramel / malt / toffee forward than it should be given the age of this can, but notes of hops / lemon drops pushes through. Citrus is there. Maybe a tad bit bitter & musty smelling.

T - Flavor profile is definitely deeper than the Medusa Hero, and with the abv a touch higher at 7.40% there is slight alcohol presence. Notes of citrus, tangerine, orange peel, zest throughout. Caramel / toffee malt backbone.

F - Medium-full bodied, aptly carbonated. Easy-drinking stuff given the modest abv. Bitter, resinous finish. A nice American IPA.

Overall, a nice American IPA. Looking forward to trying the other varieties in this pack and also the next one I have.

Apollo-Hero pours a hazy, orangish, reddish color, with a small, long lasting head. Aroma has a earthy hop note. Flavor is easy, a hint of tropical fruit, a hint of earth. Good body and feel. Overall, very solid, sweeter fruit notes, with a hint of earth.

I got a couple of cans of this beer from a mixed 12pck that I bought from a Walmart store in Vernon Hills, Illinois. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle apricot and berry notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle dank tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

1st things first, this beer is 110 days out from canning, one of a pick six. Pours a pale hazy yellow, hardly any head all, no residual carbonation. Boogar machine says muted citrus and tropical fruit, flavors were stronger than the aroma. Creamy and smooth, zip in the carbonation dept. If I see this again I will check the date. I might like this fresh.

Pours a hazy pineapple juice color with a thick white cap that fades away rather quickly. Minimal lacing. Aroma is orange and pineapple. Flavor follows the nose but has a formidable bitterness from front to back. Feel is medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Overall a nice beer.

This one had a surprisingly malty backbone on it which was surprising because the appearance showed more of a hazy style. it had some hints of fruit along with a touch of tropical flavors with a nice dankness and hop byte at the end. Solid beer
