Fermented in a pair of spent Eagle Rare barrels stuffed with Forêt de Tronçais French oak before resting in kegs filled with the same, this very fancy rendition of our beloved Working Man Mild boasts an old-world oak profile hitherto available only from the most prized French wines. Oak smoke, earth, and spicy vanilla serenade the nose before each tannin-punctuated sip.

On tap at Revolution Brewpub
You’re telling me this a Dark Mild aged in Eagle Rare barrels AND a reference to Misfits? This is literally a perfect beer for Riot Fest. It’s always exciting to see new twists on classic styles like this. Let’s get into it and see if Revolution pulled it off
Pours a dark reddish brown with 2 fingers of creamt light tan head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is definitely a bit odd here, and I’m now thinking that this has to be the lowest abv barrel aged beer I’ve ever had. I’m picking up on aromas of dark toast, milk chocolate, spicy whiskey, raisin, earthy hops, orange marmalade, toffee, and light honey
Unfortunately it’s a bit too hot in taste, also the hottest beer I’ve had at this low of an abv. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting dark toast, toffee, raisinc brown sugar, sweet whiskey, toasted oak, vanilla, and light cinnamon. The swallow brings notes of spicy whiskey, raisin, molasses, milk chocolate, earthy hops, black pepper, and light biscuit
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes mostly dry but with a boozy punch
Well this one was a bit of a disappointment but I can’t say I hated it

2021 vintage; drank on draft @ the Hopleaf on 4/11/23.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
Big tan head; almost no lace.
Toffee, oak & vanilla notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Toffee & oak flavors up front; mild vanilla & faint bourbon notes on the finish.
Bold flavors, but still mild, quaffable & enjoyable.

Had on tap. Midnight black with a brown ring. Oaky nose with mild malts, cocoa, and earth. Barrel has sneaky depth in the taste, secondary oak boosts the barrel with cocoa, toffee, earth and dark malts interacting well and in complex ways. Body is light and thin, but dry and soft, and has oak backing, booze is very faint. This is fun how the barrel aging and the lightness of the style meet

Working man in eagle rare barrels. The barrel adds light oak notes, but the texture is not nearly as good as regular working man. I prefer regular working man to the barrel aged version.

Dark brown but lighter than mahogany and even lighter towards the bottom, albeit nearly opaque, this has a short khaki blanket that disperses to a bubbly collar leaving blobby arms of lace on the glass.
This actually has really nice qualities that remind me of a wonderful dark Czech lager. While not a ton of barrel, it's pretty tasty, yet fairly mild with a somewhat watery light body that finishes semi-bitter.

On draught at Rev.
Aroma is on the muted side. Taste had notes of smoke, oak, dark bread, smooth, has a watery quality to it, but otherwise nice. Unique beer.
