This young, single barrel of unblended, unfiltered Lumberstruck English barleywine is a sweet symposium of American oak and premium bourbon. Featuring uncharred, toasted barrel heads, sumptuous notes of cherry, vanilla and allspice ring out over a decadent malt structure before a long oaky finish.

On tap at the Revolution Brewing Taproom in Chicago, IL.
This one pours a dark golden brown color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like dried cherry, figs, caramel, vanilla, toasted bread, bourbon, cedar, spice, and oak.
I think I liked this one better than the regular Lumberstruck – the soft vanilla, caramel, and cherry/fig tastes are all really nice here, with some light warming spicing, maybe like allspice or cedar, honey on toast, and oak.
This is medium bodied, silky, and not all that boozy for the ABV, with a really nice drinkability.
This is a nice twist on the regular release here, and I think I like it better than the actual Lumberstruck.

Crowler filled 7/27/22; drank 7/31/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque brown/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice khaki head; frothy lace.
Cream soda, oak & mild fruit punch notes in the nose. Yowza!
Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.
White grape, cream soda, oak & mild fruit punch flavors.
This is true brewing alchemy; bold & fruity with NO adjuncts, whatsoever. I think this is fantastic.

Thin cola brown, not much in the way of a head. Aroma is notes of oak, sweet rich malts, dark fruit and cherries. Taste has notes of rich malts, some earthy nuttiness, a touch of spice and lots of sweet dark prune and cherry. Surprisingly sweet. Feel is thin but syrupy so it comes across with more of a medium heft.
Overall a solid barleywine, but not their best.
