Had on tap. I would agree with the brewery moniker, "it's not as bad as you think". Actually thought the molort barrel, while omnipresent, brought a contrasting smokey earth component to the otherwise oak, caramel, plum and dark chocolate dominated stout. Almost scotch light. Slight herbals notes added in the nose. Great brown head to the black body. Feel is warmer than the others, not as smooth or complex either, but still well balanced given the cigarette-bud-water that is malort

Floral herbal notes painted on a sweeter stout base with notes of roasted malts, brown sugar, sweet dark fruit, and candied sugar. Moderate carbonation. Lived up to my hype.
