A blend of two cherry brandy barrels, one an American oak ex-bourbon and the other French oak ex-white wine, further broadens the wide range of flavors, aromatics, and textures found in our two-year Ryewine. Maple, vanilla, graham, and dried stone fruit are accentuated with the subtle cherry notes of the fruit distillate.

Had on tap at Revolution for the Deep Wood release of 10/20/23. Maybe with all the other beers available my taste buds weren’t up to par for this one. But I was really looking forward to this and it wasn’t all that good. Maybe I would think differently if I had it now as a stand alone, but it was somewhat disappointing.

I had this on draft at the taproom 10/20/23.
Semi-opaque brown/orange/purple appearance.
Small tan head; strong lacing remained.
Mild perfume, oak & cherry notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Cherry, rye, oak & booze heat flavors.
Unique, interesting & definitely worth a quaff.
