Had at the Deep Wood release of 11/10/23. Tons of rye and barrel, nearly as ridiculously good as the original version of 2021, but I’m not sure the extra aging makes much of a difference here.

I had this on draft 11/10/23 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Black/brown appearance.
Small tan head; almost no lacing remained.
Sweet chocolate, wood & faint rye spice notes in the nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Milk chocolate & oak flavors up front; mild wood & faint booze heat notes on the finish.
A dessert treat; fantastic.

As advertised - lots of rye and cocoa with a sharp bourbon presence. Lots of oak and wet wood. Boozy and hot. Good beer, works well on draft, will please rye lovers.
