Finished on Mourvédre, Syrah, and Grenache lees from Herman Story Wines in Paso Robles, CA, this uber-limited pilot batch of saison flaunts supple fruit, acid, and oak profiles typical of funkier mixed fermentation examples often taking months or years to mature.

Had on tap. Looks like red sangria in color, white collar. Smells of grape pomace, brighter oak, mildly wild yeast and flowers. Taste is powerfully vinous with the grape and pungent nature, with bright oak, saison yeast that is indeed mixed culture and has general fruitiness underneath in the finish. Feel is pungent yet light, not a lot of textures though given the barrel time. More a wine-beer hybrid beer than a saison honestly
