Named after the rail line that runs along the west side of Logan Square. This American-style lager combines the robust hop character of an IPA with the crisp, smooth taste and mouthfeel of a lager. It is packed with grassy and flower-like aromas with a toasty Vienna malt backbone.

I liked the District Line North. It poured a clear copper but did not have much head and no lace. The scent was excellent....good pine and citrus presence. The taste was evenly balanced with clean finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with subtle carbonation. Overall I liked it.

Tasted in a 16 oz pint glass from draft at Park Street Cafe on August 17, 2015. Look is clear bright gold/orange, medium head and nice lingering lacing. Smell is floral, grass and some toasted malt. Taste is floral, pine, citrus and bread. Feel is light and crisp while the finish is smooth.

Draft at the Kedzie Brewery, served in a footed tulip glass. Quick review from notes.
More of an "IPL" than anything, highly drinkable and hoppy.
Bright gold orange, brilliant clarity, compact layer of white foam on top that laces nicely and forms a collar around the edges of the glass.
Pungent hoppy aroma, dank sticky hop cones, citrus and dried grass, clean yeast and a hint of pale malt. The "flower-like" descriptor put me off before I ordered it, but it's not really a prominent characteristic.
Crisp and clean, light bodied and smooth, firm resinous bitterness in the aftertaste, hints of greens and light citrus again. Really well put together, and imminently drinkable as they say. Would have got a growler but it was after last call already. Plan to go back for more soon...
