Tx to Dan for can. Enjoyed chance trying this “one off”.
Distractingly muddy/murky vs hazy.
Decent but unremarkable nose.
Taste had a nice mix of malt biscuit and some grassiness with a blend of fruit and dank.
A bit more carbonation than I prefer but certainly acceptable for the style.
Overall decent brew; drank most of it...but not memorable in a world of excellent IPAs.

Thanks to my friend DW for providing this in a beer swap.
Golden color, a bit muddy and cloudy. Pours a decent sized white head that lingers pretty well.
Big funky hop aroma, lots of dank pine and more earthy than tropical fruit. Pretty intense hop nose.
Big hop flavor up front in line with aroma, with an intense earthy pine flavor. Malt definitely secondary despite the strength. Bitterness seems somewhat consistent throughout - not an overpowering shift to a bitter finish. Overall is hoppy and not sweet in the flavor, but not overpoweringly bitter.
Medium body and carbonation, no astringency despite the high hop level. Alcohol seems well controlled - really didn't pick up on it despite the strength.
Hop character is a very personal taste, but this one nails it for me. Enough bitterness without being overpowered, and a more "old school" flavor profile to the hops. Not sure if the 8% strength adds to it, but doesn't detract from the hoppy loveliness.
