Had a taster on tap at Tall Tales; then Crowler at home next day. Good DIPA. Musty yellow with pillowy head; nice lacing. Muted but noticeable resin and melon fruit nose. Taste is solid with NEIPA like fruit married to more west coast dank. Unlike a lot of others I’ve tried... thought this one worked. Enjoyable taste. Body was typical soft bright crispness. Nicely done. I would have liked at bit of oats or lactose to smooth it out, but that’s just me. Overall a nice DIPA that went down easily despite abv. Went well with food. Nice job.

Poured from the can into a Spigelau IPA glass.
Slightly turbid body appearance, and a dull lemon yellow color. Very bright white, and quite fine soapy head which is a little shorter in height just under three fingers than your average IPA. Big soapy bubbles and a little cling, but pops and dissolves a little quick too.
Dank nose for sure on the aroma. Hop angle has a real nice weed and eathy bent, but also gets into some nice smoke like wood character also. Not much other flavors for contrast with a neutral malt and yeast angle, but a real solid one note aroma.
Palate is quite nice and also surpising. Good sense of malt sweetness and feel at first sip, but the hops make no doubt about what we are having here. Real earthy tones in the mid palate but also a hint of tropical fruit, maybe even some pineapple. Finish is nice and earthy hop spicy bent angle. Soft pepper heat of astringency coupled with a little bit of the tropical sugared sweetness as well.
A real nice earthy IPA.
