Had a pint on tap at the brewery a few weeks after it opened.
Appearance was watery, and could easily see through the peripheries. Looked more like a porter than any stout I've had. Smell was intense coffee with slight dark cocoa in the background. The taste, sadly, did not live up to the nose. While the ground coffee taste was there, it was extremely watery and bland, like pouring dark coffee into a mug half way, then filling the rest with tap water. The mouthfeel followed suit with the appearance and taste; watery, bland, thin. Really hoped for better.

poured by bartender into pint glass.
reviewed from notes taken 6/12/12.
Appearance: black bodied beer with small creamy tan head. Nice lacing on the glass.
Smell: roasty malts and coffee.
Taste: This has got a nice fresh roasted coffee note with just a hint of sweetness to it. Almost like a lacto milk sugar. Finishes with a mild roast character. (I am scoring the taste at 4.25)
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Little bit thin, but not at all out of line for the style. Easy drinking stout.
Overall: It honestly like an Irish dry stout meets a coffee stout. This beer was enjoyable.
