Very good. Similar to a stout. Lighter body than a Guinness. Smoother and a tad sweet and smokey.

bartender poured this into a pint glass.
reviewed from notes taken on 6/12/12.
Appearance: dark brown bodied beer with 1 finger of tan head. Nice lacing on glass.
Smell: sweet malts and mild meaty / earthy smoke.
Taste: I really like the balance between the dark beer and the smoke profile. Little bit of salty meat smoke and peat earthy smoke and it a mellow smoke that not overbearing.
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. This beer really drinks easily. Hard to beleive that its 7.3%; it drinks alot close to 4 to 5%. The beer is pleasantly smooth and probably the high point of this brew.
Overall: Nice smoked beer. Its really solid offering from a brewery that open less than a month ago.
