Had a few weeks after the brewery had opened.
Appearance was clear yellow. Almost no carbonation. The smell was citrusy hops, and apricots lingered in the background, pretty nice. The taste was a lot like the smell, nice citrusy hops and apricots. Alcohol was well hidden. Haven't had an APA like this, very interesting. However, the mouthfeel was flat and thin. If they improved on the mouthfeel and appearance, this could be an excellent offering.
EDIT, re-drinks: It's been over a year since Pig Minds has been around, and getting back to re-trying the initial offerings, and man, what an improvement. Appearance is dark orange, little half-finger of head. Smell was fruity, apricots, hops moreso hidden. Taste is very apricot forward, infused with bitterness, but almost no hop flavor. Somewhat malty. Enjoyed it, and recommend it.

poured by bartender into pint glass.
reviewed from notes taken on 6/12/12.
Appearance: Pale yellow bodied beer with an orange hue. One finger of white head. Nice lace on glass.
Smell: This one smells like apricots with a hint of pine. To smell much of the malts maybe a faint breadiness.
Taste: mellow bitterness in the hop forward brew. This one follows the nose faily close. Its tastes of apricots and mangos. Finishes a hint of pine. The beer has nice balanced taste.
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Rediculous easy drinking at 8.5%; feels like it would drink at 4%. No booze noted in this beer at all.
Overall: I think this has got to be the highest ABV that I have ever seen in an APA. But you would not know it. Its a session beer with high ABV. Not sure that APA is the right style catigory for this beer, but I sure dont know what other beer style it would fit under...
