Had on tap at the brewery a few weeks after it opened.
Appearance was clear yellow, and flat, like Hopcore. PIG MINDS Y U NO MAKE BEER PRETTY? Smell was generic, and thin. Piney hops, but not very pungent. Taste was the same; weak piney hops, and thin, even had some lager notes of corn. Not very appealing. The mouthfeel was flat, but had some astringency to it, which was redeeming.
And a side note - As a local who enjoys craft beers from all over the world, and would like to enjoy some that are from my own town, Pig Minds should stop releasing a new style every week, and work on what they already have. Being a jack of all trades but a master of none won't get you die-hard fans.

poured into pint glass by bartender.
reviewed from notes taken on 6/12/12.
Appearance: Yellow bodied beer with 1 finger of white head.
Smell: Pine and grapefruit hops. Crackery malt profile.
Taste: Moderate bitterness in this hop forward beer. This beer is more about the pine and grapefruit hop profile. The malts are not very notable maybe a tad bit of bready malts are in there, but its fairly covered by the hops.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This one is getting close to a DIPA in ABV, but not much balance is not from malt profile. I find it interesting that Pigminds Hopcore APA has a higher ABV than their IPA.
