On tap at brewery:
Almost like a light brown ale in loooks, a hazy dark amber with sticky off-beige foam top. A bit of spice comes through on a mostly phenolic nose. There is a hint of saison in the open and definitely a peppery dry finish with hay-like bitterness. In between, it gets a little weird, with the rye seeming to dominate with breadiness and some baking spice. It seems a bit sweet up until about midway through, and that sweetness is what throws me off a bit.

Look: amber/copper with a small head that shrinks to about a centimeter in height
smell: Smells very much like a saison, rich and yeasty
Taste: The salesperson at the brewery said rye and plums. I don't necessarily agree, I think it has a broader fruity flavor profile with maybe even some nectarine and citrus. Very "saisony" yeast profile with some funk, but not like a brett saison. The rye is definitely present and very nice.
Feel: maybe a little thin but pretty good
Overall: This is slightly funky saison with a nice rye flavor. You can definitely still tell its a saison but the rye changes things up nicely

Color: murky copper, lasting foam, decent lacing
Smell: yeast and herbal fruit, slight brininess
Taste: bread, yeast, buscuits, sour jam, herbs, rosemary and rye, spicy
Feel: thick and resinous without being cloying, smooth
Overall: a damn good ale in my opinion, hardy but still refreshing

Taster at brewery. Medium Amber, soft foamy head. Fruity, funky aroma, hint of yeast. Taste is more yeast, with more of the Rye pronounced. Still some fruity, plum notes.

Appearance: Arrives with a copper color capped by an impressive tan head; excellent retention and lacing
Smell: Lemon and lime tones
Taste: Cracker malt forward, with grassy, lemon/lime and vinous grape flavors developing; herbal tones build, after the swallow
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: The herbal element makes this beer very interesting

This is a red rye saison, always welcomed! This pours a welcoming amber in color. Light peppery kick on the aroma gives way to a caramel malt funk note. Ryetastic!
