A big aroma blend of citrus and pine. A little bit of tropical notes as well. Orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, and a slight bit of pineapple. Taste somewhat follows the nose, but with a zesty citrus peel up front and center. A nice moderate bitter finish. This is one hell of a tasty brew! HenHouse Brewing Company always knocks it out of the park.

Hells to the yeah! Finally... How long has it been since the last time Raul had a West Coast banger? And Henhouse hit me over the head waboom! Like a cave man that clubbed his wife. Ok, here we go...
Your boy is a film guy, so the Kubrick stuff sold me (even though I only like two of his films). And here, we don’t have a junker (2001), we have world class like The Killing or Paths of Glory. Yeah, this beer is Kirk Douglas in his prime.
Get it!

This pours clear, like the classic west coast ipas, but with a decidedly juicy new school aroma. The mandarina hits first, upfront with a citrusy blast, followed by a grassy green finish as its sipped.

On tap at the brewery , pours a murky golden color with quickly dissipating white head leaving a bit of residual lacing. Nose is sweet citrus, tropical with hints of pine. Taste follows with mild bitterness on the finish. Really tasty.

This delicious beer is back for 2019 with four packs of 16 oz cans, packaged on 01.10.19. Full of aromatics, apricot and papaya. This is a nice blend of hops. Plenty of warm malt, rich even. Modest bitter aftertaste to add some balance.
The flavor is really very inviting. The peachy taste with a seeds and stems finish is quite pleasant. Much nicer than the current "tropical" or "juicy" messes. Overall a better than average IPA and one of my new favorites for 2019.

Good ipa flavor. No exceptional flavors to identify. Mildly citrus with small sharp taste

Peachy and hazy. Finishes somewhat light and thin with a slightly skunky amarillo hop type of character. Not the dankest of their hazy lineup but definitely one worth picking up.

You like drankin’? Well, look no further. HenHouse sure does get smoothness. It’s pretty stupid. Enjoy.

Taster at brewery. A nod to New England, but that's just it...it's only a wink. Still rooted in the classic APA, piney and tangy, with a hint of juice. Citrus, slightly astringent, but refreshing nonetheless. Nice. Oh . Yeah...and aliens started the Santa Rosa fired with laser beams...just sayin'

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
From: Cork-n-Bottle Liquors in Fremont, Calif.
Price: $13.99 for a 4-pack
Purchased: Nov. 3, 2017
Consumed: Nov. 8, 2017
Reviewed as: American IPA
Misc.: Canned on Oct. 31, 2017
Bought a 4-pack of this after a trip to a pretty good liquor/draft beer store in Fremont. Was looking for something to take back to the hotel and decided on this. Had two of them at the hotel, giving it a 4.00 on Untappd, and giving Gregg the other. I usually don’t like long-ass rants on beer bottles and cans that don’t dress the hops and flavor profile, but this one was great. It read, “As we all know, after filming 2001: A Space Odyssey, director Stanley Kubrick was approached by agents of the Johnson Administration and NASA and was coerced into using the sets and crew of 2001 to create the footage we are all supposed to blindly believe was Apollo 11 moon landing. I'm not saying we never went to the moon, that's craziness. We just obviously never went on Apollo 11 - that footage was just to make it seem we had beat the Soviets there. Riddled with guilt for this massive deception, Kubrick layered The Shining with hidden confessions for his actions and this cinematic apology is still easily his best film. Kubrick's Landing is made with Mosaic, Motueka, and Mandarina Bavaria hops.” I don’t know what’s the best part, the first rant or the fact that it has Mosaic, Motueka and Mandarina Bavaria. Looking forward to the review fresh.
Poured a pale hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Slow moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding foamy lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria, but did not initially get the Motueka. Also got white grapefruit, pineapple, mandarin, tangerine, candied orange, light mango and citrus zest. Not much more from the can, surprisingly, maybe a little more juicy orange. Was growing on me before the taste. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was just as good as the nose, maybe better. Nice mix of Mandarina Bavaria and Mosaic up front. Also mandarin, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, hints of caramel candy squares (most likely Motueka), and lemon zest. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Wow. This was much better than I had it the other night, although that was after three other boozy beers. (Overall - 4.25)
