Bottle from brewery, aged 5 yrs, bottled ~5months ago
L: opaque amber/gold. Creamy but not large head, minimal lace. Chunks of yeast.
S: brett, wood, berries, lemon, yogurt.
T: there’s a lot going on. Honey, cranberry, juniper, oak, vanilla, white wine/Chardonnay, yogurt, vanilla. Brett and the slight funk associated with it.
F: Slick and dry.
Overall: complex. Great sweet and tart combo. World-class ba saison. Also the 9% abv is nowhere to be found.
