This one was waaaayyy to over carbed. The aroma and smokiness and meatiness on the palate was lacking for me on this one. A good introduction to the style I guess. Tone down the carbonation.

Pours amber/caramel with 2 fingers of tan head. Super lacing & head retention
S: Faint smokeyness, caramel & brown bread
T: Smokeyness & caramel sweetness up front, faint pear notes, some dryness. More smokeyness along with caramel sweetness & more pear, some oaky/vanilla notes. Finishes sweet, dry & oaky with some pears
MF: Medium bodied, soft carbonation, thins out a touch as it warms
A solid shot at the style, I needed more body to love this, but I would buy this again
