I drink hard liquor whenever I do partake of alcoholic beverages. So, When i came across this seasonal brew from Saddlebock. The SB Winter Daze Vanilla Oak Bourbon Porter, I just had to buy a bottle as a gift, because of the fancy bottle. I was blown away by the strong flavor of the bourbon, but while holding on to the flavor of the beer. Myself and a few friends polished off a bottle in no time. Review stuff: It smells really nice, you can pick up the bourbon whiskey notes right away. it is a dark color beer, but not as dark as a stout, meaning more of a dark brown, but not to close to black. has a medium head when pouring from a bottle. I think I’m trying to say there is not much foam on top but enough to keep the aroma right under your noise for the whole glass. taste was amazing. a beer with a whiskey finish, without the burn. it goes down smooth, with a hint of sweetness. overall it was/ is great. this one is a beer i will drink again!!
