On tap at Flying Saucer in Little Rock

Pours clear golden yellow with minimal head, but decent amount of clingy bubbles.

Subdued herbal hops and wet grains. Some grassiness and lemony yeast.

Biscuity malts up front, slight honey sweetness. Grassy, hay-like hops, mild bitterness, sour yeast notes and lemony tartness in the finish. A tad heavy, but not sweet.

Medium-bodied and vaguely slick. Round mouthfeel, with a clingy, coating malt that sticks around a bit longer than ideal.

I love a good maibock, but they are hard to find. This one represents well, with a solid malt backbone and a medium dry, herbal, farmyard finish. Nice to see authentic German style lagers south of Cincinnati.
