Cool little bottle with an interesting pop off cap. All Japanese on the label so no idea what is in here except that I found this review.
Pours with a lot of fizzy carbonation but a fairly bubbly and weak head (like champagne). Nice hazy pale orangy color. Hoppy aroma with a good amount of maltyness.
Moutfeel is a bit light but goes down really easy. Slightly bitter but also tart finish. Great clean flavor of malt and tart floral hops. Very refreshing and highly drinkable.
I very nice beer, if you can get the chance to find it in the states. This was given to me as gift by a co-worker who lives in Japan. I plan on trying to find it around here somewhere.

this is one of the kirin pop-tops, a very rare bottle of beer in a vast sea of aluminum. and it has a cool label with a big picture of the kirin horse dragon. looks a nice thick, hazy orange, decent head.
smells pretty good, wow i'm getting excited, this is way better than normal kirin beer. malty sweet, light floral hoppiness. not entirely different from regular macros, but more appealing, great potential.
taste is disappointingly average. i detect the same thing here as in all J-macros, i dont know what it is but it reminds me of tap water. not terrible, just not what i want out of beer. other than that the taste is good, there is a nice hoppy finish and the aftertaste is pleasant. this is the polar opposite of its uncle the kirin lager which i described as bile.
i'll take this over other kirin types, but it can't compare to a real English bitter.

Made on 24 Jun 2004
Consumed on 25 Jul 2004
Expiration on 22 Aug 2004
Label states that this is a live yeast unfiltered beer. The only ingredients are malt and hops.
Beautiful orange opaque body with thin white head.
Sweet malty aroma, slightly spicy.
Very dray, a little nutty. Firm malt taste.
The mouthfeel is a tad thin.
A fine offering from Kirin. I will have to by this by the dozen.

The foamy and kind of creamy head quickly faded on a nice looking, hazy, almost glittering, orange copper color. The smell is quite interesting, very fruity, peaches, and some syrupy fruity aromas. Maybe wheaty, and some strawberries. The taste is ok, fruity, but nothin exceptional. I got more than what I expected though. Even the hoppiness is quite fruity and enjoyable. Mouthfeel is maybe thick for this type of beer, but overall not that enjoyable. The high level of carbonation reduces the beer's drinkability, giving it a heavy aspect.

This beer pours out all types of large particles into a rich stormy orange body and serves up a a creamy, lasting white head that settles to a thick ring around the top. Tasted like a normal to rich pilsener--but "looks" bespeak lager. Weird beer.
Smell is worty pils., not too yummy. Taste, too, is normal to rich pilsener. Boring malt base, more-than-normal-for- Japanese-beer hop presence.
This beer seems to be an unfiltered-looking normal not-so-good beer.
