I was curious about this beer (er, happoshu) because it’s one of the two most widely advertised happoshu in Japan and the PR it gets says that it is “like a real beer...”
Well, I think I had too high expectations.
The beer smells and (for a while) tastes similar to some cheaper European lagers, starting with a more intense and semi-sweet malt body and strange hops(?) but the taste very quickly fades into a watery, diluted mess so it just ends up being a cheap knock-off your infamous “Euro lagers...”
Better than your average crap happoshu but still a no thank you category.
