The first Japanese beer I ever tried. It doesn't disappoint!

Appearance: Clear gold brew with a thick white head that dissipates.
Smell: Wet paper smell, slight hint of pine
Taste: Smooth with a slightly hoppy presence. The malt is presented well, but the brew only slightly showcases the hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, nice consistency
Drinkablity: This would have been better with more hop flavor. If the can is covered in pictures of hops, I would like to taste a few more in the product.

Soft, fluffy bubbles that gave the impression of a light drink about to be imbibed. Strong gold color. The smell is light and grapey, like a sweet white wine; creamy notes of flour complement. The taste is much richer than I expected, mostly flavorful hops and grain, focusing in the mouth. Medium body and firm, but not biting, carbonation. A clean, sweet finish.
Very smooth drinking--much better perhaps than the normal Kirin Ichiban.

Ingredients: Malt, Hops, rice, corn and starch
Alc. 5.5% 350 ml can
Light crystal golden color, fine pure white though quickly fading head. Very light floral aroma, pleasantly bitter, no depth, and mild bitter flavor, which remains on the palate. Very positive impression for an extremely light beer.
Brewed Nov. 2002

Exp. July 2003
