The color is a light amber gold. Pretty cloudy. Smallish white creamy head. The aroma is lightly smoky. There’s some nice doughy malt flavor with a caramel sweetness. Definite hit of booze. A little bubblegum. Mild spice and a touch of citrus. Taste similarly has some alcohol harshness, which sticks out as the beer is otherwise pretty soft and sweet. Smoke is still mild. The malt is soft and doughy. Fairly sweet. Feel is a bit sticky. I’ve liked most of what I’ve tried from Tahoe Mountain, but this is a miss.

It looks like this bottle is about a year or so old. Code is 2014109, so I assume April 2014.
Kind of a ruddy brown color. Light white head with some foam when you give it a good pour.
The initial smell makes it clear there is some bourbon about to come across in the taste.
You can tell its a lager, but not too heavy on the smoke. I wouldn't have know it was smoked malt if the bottle didn't say, but I'm not a smoke beer guy typically.
I think the bourbon flavor works really well and doesn't overpower anything.
Nice beer.

This basically tasted like bourbon with hints of smoke and barley. The bottle says drink at 50-55 degrees but I'd even say 60. Once it warms the booziness goes away leaving you with bourbon and a hint of wood. Since this a bourbon barrel aged lager it's very light bodied. This would be a decent beer to have in the warmer months.
