There i s a stamped code on the bottle that starts w/ 2015 so maybe this is a 3 year old bottle?
APP- Deep mohogany clear but basically opaque , very low, incomplete beige head
Aroma - vinous, oud bruin like sourness leaps from the glass, big barnyard, hey and leather mostly, some pie, cherry, apricot, light acetic note, a whiff of solvent alcohol, malt character has a creamy, mocha-like character but is subdued by all the funk. Def get some diacetyl - moderate. high green apple.
Flavor - Wow. Assertive but not unpleasant acetic bite leads the charge. Massive fresh plum tone. Solid , well attenuated, deep but one dimensional malt base has a flavor that really reminds me of the British candy "red wine gums" , fluff of hey/ floral/ tobacco character is fleeting on the top end. notes of blonde roast coffee, acetalaldehyde is big in flavor as well as aroma. Red grape in aftertaste with a long sweet-tart finish. Deeply vinous.
Mouthfeel - Light bodied but enhanced by medium-low but persistant fine carbonation that gives the beer a velvety texture. Acetic character is bracing but never searing and leaves a very long finish
Overall - Pretty well-executed beer. Definitely brings big bold flavors but stays pretty dinkable, as long as you don't have acid reflux. I guess because of the name, I was expecting more of a lightly soured English old ale, but this is Belgian as hell. At $17 a bottle, they really owe you a better explanaiton of whats inside. I'd put this somewhere between Dutchess and La Folie in general character. Would be awesome with food to cut the sourness. Might not buy again at this price.

a sour bretty brown ale thats very good. this is similar to an oud bruin type, with some vinegar acidity, although lighter than the import norm, and some funky brett and although its not real woody, there are a lot of red wine notes in here with the caramel and toasted malts. less chocolate malt than we might normally see an in american brown, but the sourness adds the absent layer. lemon and red wine tannins, some toffee sweetness, and a long pucker on the finish. its complex beer, perhaps a little thin in texture for the depth of flavor, but it remains one of the better straight up sour browns going. almost corny for a moment, toasty and warming, comforting before the fruity acidity. carbonation is good, mouthfeel overall is very nice. i think this lends itself nicely to some fruit, berries or grapes specifically, it just seems like a platform built for something other than itself. i am so glad these guys have chosen to come to colorado, i have been a long time fan and am looking forward to seeing what else drops here!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
