On tap at Simmzy's in Burbank, CA.
Pours a hazy copper with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with toasted malt, fruit, earth, and funk aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour malt, earth, dirt, fruit, and funk flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and earth bitterness and a very mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting mix of an amber ale along with funk and sour qualities from the wild yeast.
Serving type: on tap.
