Hefen' Pineapple

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery. I think of this more as a fruit beer, but the brewery calls it a fruit-infused kristalweizen.

Appearance: medium yellow hue with a slight cloudiness and a strong effervescence. Head poured a thin layer of white foam. Too cloudy for a kristallweizen but not bad for a fruit beer.

Smell: lightly wheaty and refreshing with a dash of fruitiness - pineapple and banana. Actually smells like a fruity and delightful IPA. Good!

Taste: banana and pineapple but with a definite estery hefeweizen character. Not bad.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. I like it!

Overall: the pineapple adds kind of an astringency which impacts drinkability. Still, it's a tasty fruit beer with a very enticing aroma.
