Pours a hazy straw color with a white head, loads of lemongrass and cracker on the nose, which is the flavor profile as well. The mouthfeel is medium and very crisp.

This would be a phenomenal lawnmower beer, IMHO. Indeed is the real deal, again IMHO.

Look: Slightly hazy gold. One finger of soapy white head with good retention.

Smell: Sweet malt, bright and piney hops, fruitiness.

Taste: Balanced between mild biscuity malt and a medium amount of hop bitterness. Neither stands out more than the other.

Mouthfeel: Full body with good carbonation.

Overall: Pleasant, mildly hoppy lager.

Very good on tap at cooler than IPA type temperatures. I get it on tap whenever available.

At the tap room. pours a slightly cloudy light golden orange, with a decent head and lacing. Kind of a musty cellary nose, with some dull citrus and gentle earthy grassy hops. Taste follows. Feel is soft and thick, with a little twang and a hint of citrusy sour. Finish kind of meanders a bit, without really coming to a point. All in all, this isn't the bee's knees, but it is fairly well done and I'm grateful to have it around. Here's to more kellers and zwickels!

On tap at the source.

White head with lace. Slightly hazy pale golden.

Very similar to b side since it's basically the same thing. Earthy, grassy, bready, biscuit, and a light citrus.

Light bodied. Nice crisp and clean feel. A great beer!

Ever since drinking Weihenstephaner's 1516 last summer I've been excited to find new zwickel's and this didn't disappoint. If I lived in Minneapolis I'd buy this whenever it was on tap.
