Barrel aged with Brett and bacteria strains, they've combined to form a tart, dry, and berry-filled brew with notes of sour citrus. Take one sip of this wood-aged sour golden ale refermented on fresh raspberries and you're In The Thicket. No foraging required.

Appearance: Pours a clear pink toned raspberry color; the one finger head has a vague pink hue and leaves a few squiggles
Smell: Fresh raspberry and Brett; a hint of citrus
Taste: Tart raspberry with barnyard funk developing; a little sweetness, after the swallow, but the finish is tart and funky
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation; puckery
Overall: A nice raspberry sour which displays the fruit and has some dryness in the finish

Clear ruby red body with no head. Smell has fragrant tart raspberry, really expressive oak, decent brett and funk, golden ale yeast, flowers, and slight lemon zest. Taste is exactly the same, with the raspberry and oak leading and complimenting each other very nicely. Almost like an american take on the framboise, more complex, thinner and brighter, and has a springy feel.

Bottled Nov/2018. Attractive ruby red color with a finger of pink head. Carbonation appears fizzy. Funky aroma of aged cheese, barnyard, and berries. Flavor is also funky. Much more than the Belgian Framboise's that I have tried. I like that it is not overpowered by the raspberries but the funky base is allowed to shine. Much more balanced. Indeed's wild ale program is much further along than almost any other MN brewery. Slight tartness but this really more funky than tart. The carbonation is a bit fizzy and makes the body feel lighter than it is. Overall a fine example of a Framboise type of lambic.

Pours a very attractive ruby red, mostly transparent and with a thin cap of fizz. Light effervescence when swirled. For me personally, this hits just the right balance I'm looking for in a fruited sour, with an intensity of flavor coming from both the fruit and the acidity of the wild ale, working together harmoniously. The brett also generates a slight funk and straw on the nose that adds some complexity and contrast when going in for a new sip. I also get some other modest fruit notes, mostly strawberry and blueberry, on the nose, even though it's clearly raspberry on the tongue.

WOW, this is reminiscent of Lindeman's Framboise, with a bit more tartness. It has a thin body but is packed with a raspberry punch. There is literally no head on this beer, however, and the finish is rather dry and light, like sparkling wine. It almost evaporates off the tongue. There is nearly no carbonation, but the citrus kick makes up for that.
This is really a fun one to try, but definitely not a session beer. Personally, I still give Framboise the edge in this comparison, but I admit that I have sentimental attachments to it.

This is a great sour. Raspberry is jammy, not overpowering. Great funk flavor and smell, that will only get better with time. Snapping this one up!!
