High & Dry is a “rut IPA, an emerging style of very dry IPA where every last bit of sugar is fermented. This lack of residual sugars that would normally act as a backbone to support bitterness in hop-forward beers results in high quaffability, low bitterness and massive aromatics. Expect a highly drinkable ale with a boisterous blend of fruit-forward hops including El Dorado, Belma, and Calypso with a simplistic and clean pilsner malt bill. If you tend to shy away from the big, bad IPAs, a Brut is great way to experience the
glory of hops without any of the bitter bite.

Pale gold with a big, fluffy white head that hangs around for a while and leaves random gobs of lacing behind. The aroma is floral and hoppy with some papaya and herbal notes. Light bodied with a decent bit of carbonation. The flavor does not taste as fruity as the aroma. While there is some fruitiness the bitterness seems a tad high for a Brut. Pretty solid beer but the flavors don't really work for me.

From a 12oz can:

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow, small head.

Smell: Slight floral aroma and indistinct fruitiness.

Taste: Citric dryness, tingly feel. Finishes with dry crackers and citrus.

Overall: Another brut IPA from a local brewery. At the brewery this reminded me very much of a pilsner, the impression of the 4 pack at home has been a dry session IPA.

Looks like lemonade with a frothy head. The head does quickly disappear. I pick up citrus and herbal with bits of fruit and flowers in the aroma. Overall very hoppy aromatic. The flavor starts with a burst of citrus but quickly transitions to a dry herbal component. By the time I get through a third of the glass, the herbal flavor is all I taste. The body has lively carbonation. Feels light and prickly.

L: hazy yellow under a thin off-white foam cap that quickly reduces to a thin film

S: Citrus, citrus rind, tangerine and a smattering of fruit drive the aromas

T: bone dry with tangerine and citrus dominating seasoned by a moderate plus hop bitterness

F: highly attenuated with a light body, medium carbonation and a crisp dry finish

O: flavorful and easy to repeat

Tap pour at Indeed. This is Indeed's version of the 'Brut IPA'.
Slightly cloudy, straw colored body. Thin head. No lacing observed.
Floral hops in the aroma, but nothing dramatic.
Taste is led by the floral hops, with the champagne experience, and the dry finish. These Brut IPA's seem to exhibit a musty, and yeast character which is kind of distinctive but only indicative of a beer with an extremely dry finish (minimal sugars still available for fermentation).
Thin to medium mouth feel. Very dry.
This expresses the most floral hops of the Brut IPA's I have tried.
