Follow your nose! A melange of fruity perfumes wafts your way, intoxicating with the aromas of blackberry, raspberry leaf and dusty lemon. Deep red and slightly hazy with a purple hue, Patchwork plucks you up with perky tartness and handfuls of berry flavor. With this mixed berry sour red ale, the picking's easy.

Dark color like a Flanders Red Ale. Lively carbonation and a head that quickly dissipated. Aroma that is pleasantly more funky than fruity. Almost a creamy component to the nose. Mildly acidic flavor with berry notes. The funk that I got in the nose is rather timid in the flavor, unfortunately. Carbonation is a bit too much but still maintains a pleasant drinking experience.

375ml bottle, Bottling date is 'July/2018'.
Pale amber, with a purple hue, colored body. There is a little fizzy head with the initial pour but no real head. No lacing.
Aroma of dark berry (blackberry) with lemon, oak barrel, and raspberries and blueberries.
Taste is mostly sour but definitely sweet. Heavy with blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry. Has a touch of lemon. The oak barrel is a contributing flavor also. After taste is rather dry.
Medium mouth feel, and rather juicy and dry. Very good carbonation.
I am a fan of Indeed's Wooden Soul Series. This one is heavy with dark fruit but also includes the oak barrel. Very tasty.

Had on tap. The smell is full of fruit, especially various kinds of berries and apple. Get some sour vinegar on finish of sniffs. The taste had more vinegar and oak than smell, detracting from fruit except apple. The feel is the achilles heal, body is a touch watery, and the sour finish is slightly undercut by the vinegar. Still a fine sour, but could use some refinement.
