12-oz can into Belgian ale glass
A - murky body of golden amber under 3 solid fingers of just-off-white, nice lace
S - citrus, tropical, pine
T - sweet pink grapefruit, pine, something herbal and/or floral in the bitterness, biscuity malt beneath it all, touch of booze in the aftertaste
M - medium/full body, average carbonation, just a little boozy, fairly dry finish
O - a reasonably enjoyable DIPA

Ah ok, so this is from Minnesota, I was wondering, got to check out a can in May 2022 in Milwaukee.
Pours out on Nick U's backyard, amber color, 1/2" off white head. Now, here we have a pretty unconventional dry hop tag team going on, Lotus and Idaho 7. Interesting (the polite interesting). Lotus is like generic true value version Citra to me. It has a hint of orange compared to Citra. Idaho 7? Weird choice given that the bittering hop is Simcoe. They do the same thing for my mileage. So once again, we have a Midwest beer coming up short for dry hopping.
The taste was mostly the impact of Simcoe and Idaho 7 doing that clothesline off the top rope. Bitter, grapefruit more than orange. Ample carbonation and a light boozy sting combine with that ibu level that comes off around 90. Slightly maltier than most west coast west coast imperial ipas in 2022. Its less than the late 90s though, so its not a total throwback ibu crystal malt wars beer. Artwork is cool.

L: Pours an orange amber with a 3 finger medium longevity, ivory head that leaves some long legs on the draw down.
S: A mild hoppy aroma of tropical fruit and pine, but, nothing that will bowl you over.
T: Mild citrus and pine with a solid biscuity malt backbone.
F: Moderately full bodied with tongue prickling carbonation. The alcohol is there, but it won't flatten you.
O: A comparatively mild DIPA, eminently quaffable and worth a couple of cans or a couple of pours if you're at the taproom.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Slightly hazy gold, big head.
Smell: Big grapefruit, citrus sweetness.
Taste: Nicely sweetened grapefruit, moderate bitterness, medium body. Some alcohol noted, kind of old-school.
Overall: Picked up a 6er of this new DIPA, this has a kind of old school feel, lots of grapefruit and some alcohol noted on the taste. But not as bitter or heavy feeling as the old school doubles. Kind of a in-between step, which works for me, tasty stuff.

Pours a beautiful mostly clear golden orange color with a 1 finger head and lacing Smell has pine and citrus . Taste follows nose with sweet oranges and pungent prickly pine , malt in the finish to balance. Mouth feel is sweet and dank lots of pine but not so bitter, ABV well hidden. Loved the 12oz format
