Pours blackish. Thick, foamy, tall off white head that fades pretty fast to a rocky head.
Smells spice, funk, dark fruit hints and roasted malt.
Tastes roasted malt and some spicey yeast funk. Followed by some dark chocolate, raisin and plum. Finish is semi dry with a rich malt Lindsey. Medium body and creamy medium carbonation.

STYLE Imperial Black Saison | ABV 8.3% | AVAILABILITY Seasonal
Peppery, Fruitcake, Yeasty, Warming
Although offering a little taste of winter, I’m really not sure how much of a Saison this really is and being an Imperial Black one at that just creates that much more confusion. It tastes somewhere between a Dubbel and a Belgian Stout, while the 8.3% ABV flaunts some warmth but stays quaffable. I would love to see more Belgians from Ore Dock. Saison D’Hiver is a real lollapalooza of a Belgian-inspired brew.

Had this Saison off the Taproom Tap poured into a fluted style pint glass.
A- Near black body with a slight reddish mud tinge that poured a small one finger head that quickly dissipated to a etched lacing.
S- Black Cherry front with raisin, bitter chocolate and success
T-Very complex, dried cherries and other indiscernible fruit, slight taste of dates, white pepper and resin. Finishes with a bubble gum draw
M-Very smooth, almost fizzy like carbonation that adds to the appeal, ends dry and balanced
