Into a tulip, this is a typical hazy orange, slight amber, fairly good head retention and lacing.

S - crisp yeast bite, bubble gum, clove, full creamy banana, juicy berries and some nice fruity hop character, cherry, bready dryness. Bit of bubblegum, a full profile.

T - creamy wheat malt, a lot of chewy fruits, notes of cream, also a sour clove, unripe banana. Finish is full wheat, banana and light estery apple fruits.

M - fairly light, chewy malts, with a gentle carbonation. Some bitterness as well, a dry sour finish.

Good overall hefe, with a light fruity profile. Bit of sourness to counter the wheat. It works decently, but I don't find much here to mark this out as really unique or special in the hefe field. Well made and sessionable, tasty is fairly mild.

On tap at the brewpub.

Orangey yellow body, with a short white head. Nose has some typical hefeweizen qualities, bubble gum, banana and gentle spicing. Some pale malting as well. Taster starts out with the same banana and bubble gum up front, but opens up into some bready, grainy pale malts. Lightly drying finish. Mild sweetness. A tasty hefe that doesn't hold up to the exemplars of the style, but some nice yeast character. Wasn't a huge fan of the pale malt presence however.

Peachy aroma. Very malted and the feeling it is the malt adding to the mouthfeel. The wheat is subordinated. Anything to keep the wheat from any sour notes. Lacey. Not so much the style still a decent drinking beer. The better wheat choice. WOuld like something more authentic.

Bottle from The Beer Academy. Recipe 1 batch 1. Bottled Sept. 4 2012

Hazy blonde orange, one finger of white head, some lace left behind on the glass. Smell is of banana and some yeast, clove and bubble gum heavy in the nose as well, some subtle earthiness and some doughy-biscuit like malts. Taste is spicy upfront, clove and a bit earthy, biscuity malt, quite fruity mid palate to the finish mostly banana. Medium carbonation, medium body, pretty nice feel. Pretty nice wheat beer, a little on the spicier side but still has a nice bit of fruit, would have this again.
